Bo Xilai Files Appeal Request, Interview with Jean-Pierre Cabestan for AFP

The severe life sentence given to Bo Xilai, former member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Politburo, settles a political-criminal scandal that has tarnished the regime. However, the Chinese people still remain sceptical of any positive outcomes that could result from this trial of corruption and abuse of power, particularly as Bo Xilai has informed the court of his intention to appeal.
